CDP was appointed by Warwick District Council in December 2017 to deliver an ambitious, ‘place shaping’ master plan that is transformational; viable; fundable; deliverable; sustainable, and of high-quality design.
Setting out how the “Old Town” area could become a bright, vibrant and distinct destination and attraction for the district. Key considerations to be given to fusing together the existing rich historic architecture with a modern twist.
The draft masterplan was delivered in November 2018 and following a period of consultation, CDP presented a final masterplan in Spring 2019. The final sign-off was given to this project in November 2019. The first phase of the Creative Quarter regeneration is now underway with the redevelopment of Spencer Yard, including the restoration of the derelict Grade II Listed United Reform Church. Three buildings in Spencer Yard are curranty being refurbished to create a series of creative offices. Work has now started on the restoration of the church and other buildings in Spencer Yard.
