Location: Royal Leamington Spa

In December 2017, CDP was appointed by Warwick District Council to bring to life an exciting, game-changing master plan that would completely transform the old town area. This visionary plan is not only ambitious but also viable, sustainable, and of exceptional design quality—designed to reshape the district into a vibrant and dynamic destination. It sets the stage for the “Old Town” area to become a must-visit, distinct hotspot that seamlessly blends its rich historic architecture with a modern flair.

After unveiling the draft masterplan in November 2018 and gathering feedback, CDP presented the final version in Spring 2019, with official approval granted in November 2019.

The first phase of this groundbreaking regeneration, the revitalisation of Spencer Yard, has already been completed. This includes the restoration of the derelict Grade II Listed United Reform Church, and the transformation of three buildings into thriving creative office spaces, all of which are now fully occupied. You can explore more about Spencer Yard and the United Reform Church here.

The redevelopment of the fire-damaged Stoneleigh Arms on Clemens Street and the Old School on Court Street, has also now been completed (Spring 2025)  which are vibrant, mixed-use creative spaces.  You can explore more about this project here

CDP remains fully committed to working closely with Warwick District Council as we move forward with the next phases of this ambitious regeneration project.
